Migraine Awareness Month #1: Your First for the First
I had my 1st migraine at the age of 17. The pain was unbearable. All I wanted to do is curl up and die. I have never felt anything like that before. I didn't know what to do. I took Motrin, I drank water, I got told by my parents, boyfriend and friends that it was all in my head. That nothing was wrong. I felt so bad I tried to go on with my day but it was harder then I thought it would be. I wasn't sure what was wrong with me and why it wasn't going away. It took my migraine 2 days to finally go away. I had one a few weeks after that also. That one lasted for 3 days. My mom finally took me to the doctor which was a good thing.
National Migraine Awareness Month is initiated by the National Headache Foundation. The Blogger's Challenge is initiated by www.FightingHeadacheDisorders.com.
